Deleting your account and data
How to delete your Elec-Mate account, what gets deleted and when, and what to do about your subscription.

Delete your account in the app
- Open Elec-Mate and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Privacy.
- Tap Delete My Account and confirm.
Can't sign in? Email info@elec-mate.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you, then delete it.
Before you delete: export what you need
Your certificates, quotes, invoices and client records are deleted with your account. If you need to keep them — for example, certificates you've issued — download them first:
- Certificates, quotes and invoices: open each one and save or share the PDF.
- Your account data: Settings → Privacy → Download My Data gives you a ZIP file of your records (CSV spreadsheets and JSON) with links to your photos and files.
Your subscription
- Paid on the website (Stripe): deleting your account cancels your subscription or free trial straight away. You won't be charged again.
- Paid in the iPhone app: cancel in your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- Paid in the Android app: cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
What's deleted, and when

The 30 days gives you a short window to change your mind: email info@elec-mate.com within that time and we can restore your account.
What we keep
- Records of payments you made to us, for 6 years, because UK tax law requires it.
- A record that you unsubscribed from marketing, so we never email you again.
- Anonymous statistics that can't identify you.
If someone added you to their team
If your employer or college gave you an account, deleting it removes your access. Records they keep about your work in their own systems are their responsibility — ask them.
