If your annual UK pay bill is under £3m (true for most small electrical contractors), you pay only 5% of the apprentice’s training costs (~£150-450 over 3-4 years). The Government covers the other 95% via the funding band. If you have under 50 employees and hire an apprentice aged 16-21, the Government covers 100%.
