Distribution board layout diagrams show the physical arrangement of protective devices within a consumer unit or distribution board. Unlike circuit schematics (which show electrical connections), layout diagrams show the physical positions of devices on the DIN rail or busbar, making them essential for installation, verification, and future maintenance.
